Metallurgie
This is one of those clever little card games that German designers excel in. The theme of this one is alchemy: converting base iron to gold (via copper and silver). Each card represents one metal and they are played in layers from iron to gold. Players can score points from any of the metals if they complete the correct pattern.
However, scoring points removes cards from that layer, potentially allowing another layer to be scored. Winning the game requires careful play, planning and a touch of luck.
NB: This edition is German – I provide English rules.
For 2-4 players, aged 10+, playing time 30 mins
Metallurgie was designed by Maik Hennebach and published by Argentum
