23 Knives

I don't know whether Julius Caesar was stabbed with 23 knives, but his body had that many wounds and that is the conceit of this game. In the end Caesar will die... or survive! And players will win or lose depending on which outcome they backed.

While each player's actual preference is secret, public knowledge will suggest one or the other and a key action is trying to sway players to the other side. However, there's still the option to intervene at the last and players who succeed in this can win as a team.

So, three different endings are possible and there's a whole raft of intrigue and manoeuvring as players jockey for position. I suspect it needs more than the minimum number of players to be at its best and I look forward to giving it a proper workout.

For 3-8 players, aged 14+, playing time 30-60 minutes
