Heckmeck am Bratwurmeck
This is the original version of this brilliantly simple little game from Reiner Knizia (it's also known as Pickomino). It comprises a set of chunky numbered tiles – rather like Mah Jongg tiles in size and composition – and a set of dice. Players roll the dice, aiming to get the score needed to take a tile – from those available or from another player.
Once all the tiles have gone, players tot up their scores to find the winner. It's fast, furious and fun and a perennial favourite of my games group.
This is the multi-lingual edition from the original publisher. I also have the expansion, Heckmeck Extrawurm, and the combined, 'Deluxe' edition. Alternatively, Heckmeck Mini is a mini version in a pocket-sized tin.
For 2-7 players, aged 8+, playing time 20 minutes
