No surprise that the players take on the roles of members of the Fellowship (and other characters in the books), aiming to ensure Frodo completes his quest to destroy the One Ring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRanged against them, the game throws armies of orcs, Sauron's powerful Nazgûl minions and the Dark Lord's own always-open, searching eye… Not to mention the question of whose side wizard Saruman is. It's just so evocative of the books for me.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlayers have to achieve several objectives before the ring can be destroyed. These are drawn at random, so the game is different each time you play. And changing the characters used brings different abilities into play.
